I know, I know... I skipped last week. I just didn't feel like it. I've decided I hate Weigh-In Wednesdays because I have to be brutally honest with myself and you. To be honest, my weight loss has been bumpy. I can't quite get it together. I do have a little to be proud of... last week I worked out Tues, Wed, and Thurs, which is better than what I have been doing. This week I have only worked out Monday and plan on getting up and working out in the morning. Hopefully I can Friday too and if I'm really feeling it, maybe Saturday. We shall see.
I just get so tired of being tired from waking up so early or not having time to just relax for a little bit when I get home. Between homework with Brady, dinner, school work, getting everything ready for the next day and yes, I have a super sweet husband that totally rocks your socks off with all of his help! But I'm just ready to get everything finished and taken care of so that we can actually relax after the boys are in bed. I know... lazy bum!
Anywho... so I start to write this post and I'm all bummed because of my progress and then of course that leads to "I'm fat" "I hate my body" "I suck"... just you know... down in the dumps (I can hear my Grandee saying that in her super old southern accent)... when I get a phone call from one of my former students that moved to Atlanta. Let me tell you, he totally turned my night around. He called to tell me that he missed and loved me and boy to I miss that sweet boy. I am still finding things in my classroom that say Chandler or have an Auburn AU and it melts my heart every time! It was such a great reminder of how lucky I am to have such a meaningful job. I actually make a difference and my students care for me just like I do them. Let's just say I'm super grateful and I love my life!
Trying to figure it all out... but having fun while I'm at it!

Brightly Lit Christmas
View the entire collection of cards.
Ollie made a hot air balloon out of a lantern, a cup, and some fishing line... what a smart elf!!
Ollie drew his self portrait and then hung it and himself on the fridge!
BAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!.... Brady couldn't stop laughing and neither could I!
A TeePee countdown til Christmas!!
Texas Hold'em Tourney!
Zip-Lining!!!
He stole the Wii remote!!
Just a little peak into our lives!! It may be wild and crazy, but what a happy, wonderful life we have!
Merry Christmas Friends!

Super Excited about our Christmas cards this year!! Just wanted to share a sneak peak! We want to wish you all, whoever you may be, a very merry Christmas!! I hope Santa is good to you all! I certainly think that he will be making these two little boys super happy this year, or at least I hope so!!! Brady's list was pretty long... more like he wanted ALL of Toys R Us! Seriously, every Big Book item, anything that he sees on T.V., and ANYTHING his friends have, he has asked for. As for Cannon, he wants EVERYTHING his big brother has, anything "Pickey" AKA Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates!
We have continued our tradition with Ollie, our elf on the shelf! Brady is seriously getting into it and will not let anyone get anywhere near Ollie, fearing that he will be touched and lose his magic. Cannon on the other hand just goes up to him and says, "I want to hold him Mama." Clearly, he's not getting the whole "don't touch the elf or he will lose his magic and not get to fly to the North Pole to tell Santa how good or bad that you have been." I feel like next year will be better for him! Our Ollie is certainly mischievous! Here are a few of the things that he has done:
Ollie showed up in our popcorn bucket and got popcorn everywhere!
Ollie drew his self portrait and then hung it and himself on the fridge!

Black Friday
Well, I've survived Black Friday... barely!! It all started last night, when Matt and I decided that we would check out Toys-R-Us! They were opening at 8:00 and when we went by at 6:15, the line wasn't that long.Well let me tell you, when we got back at 7:30, the line was all they way to Barnes and Nobel... with a grumpy Matt, a very tired 2 year old, and it being freezing, there was no way in the world we were going to stay. So we went home and decided to check Toys-R-Us's website and wouldn't you know, their prices were magically Black Friday prices. We bought everything that was on our list for the exact price that we would have paid in the store with no hours wait, no drama, no mess right from our sofa! OH YEAH!!!
So that was Part 1 of the Black Friday madness, even if it was on Thursday! Next, I got up at 5:00 am and took my tired butt to Kinnucan's because they had some really great deals and offered a $25 gift card to the first 50 people that showed up. I mean getting their at 5:15 for them to open at 6:00, sounds like I would have been a $25 gift card winner for sure, I mean it's only Kinnucan's right? How about I was customer number 99!!! Sweet Pete! At least I got everything on my list for waaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than what they would normally cost! :)
After running a few places to check on their deals before Matt had to leave for work, I went home and got Cannon (Brady was spending the night out with his aunt and uncle) and then went to the mall and shopped some more! I ended up getting a polo for my little brother (well my not so little brother, Lawson) that was already 50% off and then an additional 50% off!!!!
Overall, it was a super fun experience and we saved tons of money honey!!! We still have some more shopping to do, but at least our big purchases are already done!! Let's just say Cannon and I took great naps later that day (after he climbed up to the top bunk, which Matt and I quickly turned into twin beds as soon as he got home)!
Loving Life!

Funny Quotes from My Boys/ Weigh-In Wednesday
I know this is supposed to be my Weigh-In Wednesday Post and I will get to that, (trust me! ;)) but I simply couldn't pass up the chance to share some sweet quotes from Brady and Cannon this week.
Last night, Cannon told us that he had to go potty (we've had trouble with him telling us when he needs to go) and he did go! Afterwards, I was like, "Good job, Cannon!" Then he turned to me, gave me a big hug, and then said, "I'm so proud of you Mama!"
This morning, without me saying anything, Brady said, "Mama, I'm not going to play the Wii this morning. I'm going to wait for the afternoon, so that I can spend time with you and Cannon." (Such a sweet boy!) Then we starting telling Daddy (Matt), Brady said, "Yeah, I already played the Wii a little bit this morning, but now I stopped so I can spend time with Mama and Cannon. Then, I'm going to play a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time this afternoon.
I could literally, type quotes from my children all day long. They are so precious and say sweet/crazy/funny things all they time. Though they may drive me nuts sometimes, I love them more than you know! Being a mom is seriously the best thing since sliced bread! I cannot describe the joy (and stress ;)) that children will bring to your life!
Sorry for the sappiness, on to Weigh-In Wednesday!
Weigh-In Wednesday Week 2:
Pounds Lost: 0 (which is a miracle really, considering the food I ate at my sister-in-laws birthday party and my Grandmama's birthday party)
Total Pounds Lost: 9
Days Exercised: 2 (I know... I'm seriously slacking!)
Days staying in caloric intake: 3
So basically, I totally did not do myself any favors this week, nor do what I need to do to make my goals! Therefore, I am stating right here and right now...MY NEXT WEIGH-IN WEDNESDAY WILL BE BETTER! Do you hear me? I mean it!!!

A lot to be thankful for!
When I was driving home with Brady he proceeded to tell me all about his class play that he will be performing tomorrow. He said, "MamL, in the play tomorrow, I'm going to be a turkey and I'm going to say, "OH, SAY IT CAN'T BE SO!!(in the cutest voice ever) And then Turkey #4 says, 'Oh it's can't be so!' and then turkey #5 says, 'Let's hide behind that tree,' then the narrator says...." It made my day! Even though I now know the whole play, it was precious!!
Tonight was also my Grandmama's or as Cannon has now started calling her, "G-Mama," birthday! We had a great time at O'Charley's with my family, visiting and spending time with each other. I love that my family has the best time together. We may be the loudest group in the whole restaurant, but we have more love and fun than most families do! Happy birthday Grandmama!!! We love you!!

I DID IT!!
5am
workouts are for the birds! I seriously wanted to cry the first 10
minutes after I got up, because all I wanted to do was sleep and at one
point, I totally thought I was going to throw up(if I could... that's a
whole 'nother post for a whole 'nother day)! However, I pulled myself
together, completed the workout, and even though I felt sore and tired
all day, it was TOTALLY worth it!!
I've been "keepin' my core tight" ALL DAY and can "feel the burn!" It's totally a love-hate relationship, you hate how hard it is, how sore you feel, and how tired you are, but dang you feel good about yourself! Just had to post to let you know I followed through with what I said that I was going to do and survived to tell you! haha! Just kidding, it's not that bad... yet! ;)

Weigh-In Wednesday: Week 1
As promised, even though I only started yesterday, I am going to start my Weigh-In Wednesday! Here ya go!
Week 1:
Pounds Lost for the Week: I have actually gained 1 pound from the last time that I weighed (Hey it was my Veterans Day break!Plus I haven't worked out in about a month.)
Total Pounds Lost:9 pounds :( (but getting back into things and holding myself accountable should help with this number)
Days Exercised: 2 (Yay me... I'm 2 for 2!)
Days Staying in Caloric Intake Goal: 1... so far, but it was bunco night last night with some delicious food that made me go over a little!
Overall, besides the having gained 1 pound back from my original 10, I say that this Weigh-In Wednesday was successful. Maybe that's because it's only been two days... haha! We'll see how it's looking at next Wednesday's Weigh-In! P.S. I totally published this post yesterday and even posted it on Facebook... then I realized it was Tuesday! Haha! Oh well!

5 AM Workouts= INSANE
For those of you who may not know, I have really been working on losing weight for about a year now. I have these spurts of doing really well with my workouts and eating healthier, but then once my schedule changes or I'm sick or whatever the case may be, I will stop working out for a couple of weeks. The good thing is that I have lost 10 pounds and have actually kept it off! (Yay me!)
Because I have lost and kept off this 10 pounds, I know that I could be a LOT closer to my goal weight, IF I just stuck with it. I have to continue to eat healthy and work out as much as possible. The other good thing is that I've found that I really enjoy doing Insanity. Shaun T really knows how to make you sweat!!! When I'm doing it, I'm not necessarily loving it, but when I am finished, I'm super proud of myself!
I do know that eventually I will need to start doing other forms of exercising, but for now, Insanity will be perfect! The only down side is that with my schedule, tutoring, helping Brady with his homework, cooking dinner, and getting stuff ready for I don't have time to work out after school. So I guess it's back to 5am workouts... bleh!! Though it's going to be hard, I really want this!!!!
My Goals:
1. Complete the FULL Insanity schedule
2. Start back with Weigh In Wednesdays. Every Wednesday, I will post my pounds lost for the week, total pounds lost, number of days staying in caloric intake goal, and number of days worked out.
3. Eat NO MORE than 1200 Calories a day. Keep track using myfitnesspal.com.
4. Be bikini ready by Spring Break... I haven't worn a bikini in years. I don't even think that I own one anymore.
5. Be happy and comfortable with myself! :)
Wish me luck!!

Oh Shit!
Who would have thought that I would already have an inspiration to post?
Before I get started, Mama I know my grandparents can read this, but trust me, the title is totally warranted.
So Matt and I are in the den watching t.v. and working on the blog and the boys are in the back in the playroom. Just when I was thinking things were a little too quiet, Brady comes running in the den and says, "Uhhhhh... Cannon stinks and there's poop in the playroom." (Insert the title here... see totally warranted!)
We go into the playroom, and Cannon apparently had a poop party with his toys. To give him a little credit, he was using the wipes to clean his hands, when I found him. I immediately through him in the bath, while Matt cleaned the carpet and the toys. After having us yell at him and telling him that we don't do that, what does he do? He continues to have a merry old time in the bath tub singing "Row, row, row your boat," like nothing happened.Ughhhh.... oh the joys of potty training a 2 year old.
Let's just say after a bath, shampooing the carpet, and LOTS of Clorox our house is finally back to normal... for now. Moral of the story: If your 2 year old is being too quiet, it's too good to be true. They are up to no good!

In the words of Mario, "Lets-ah Go!!!"
Where to begin, I have wanted to start blogging FOREVER.... I'm talking years. I have even gone as far as to create blogs for my family and blogs for my classroom, but never doing anything with them. I have been inspired by my friend Carly Ward and her blogging skills for years, so here's my chance to be as cool as her! :) The moment I really decided to really do this, was when my friend, Amy Clark, wrote her first post after she and I both talked about it how long we have wanted to blog, but we have always had reservations (being vulnerable, judgment, not having time, etc. ). So basically, I owe them for the courage to do this myself.
Now, what am I going to blog about you may ask? In short, EVERYTHING! I am going to blog about my family, the funny things and sayings of my two precious little boys, my love for my husband, being a teacher, and honestly, just whatever I feel like sharing!
This blog is for anyone interested in hearing about our lives and keeping up with us (as hard as that may be, especially during baseball season)! If you are expecting me or this blog to be perfect, don't, you'll be disappointed! Expect me to be human, make mistakes, and be happy, sad, mad, etc. I may not post everyday, but I'll try to post as often as I can!
